§ Mr. Banksasked the Secretary of State for Transport when he expects to order the commencement of the construction of a bypass for (a) Knaresborough and (b) Harrogate.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeNorth Yorkshire county council is the highway authority for all roads in and around Harrogate and Knaresborough. Therefore it is for the county council to decide whether and, if so, when to construct bypasses of these towns.
