§ Mr. Wellbelovedasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will estimate the increase in the price of a pint of beer sold in licensed premises as a result of a reduction in profitability arising from a further tax being imposed on the licensed trade by the introduction of an ad-valorem tax on the takings from fruit machines operated in public houses.
