§ 13. Mr. Dykesasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will estimate the net amount of contributions by United Kingdom funds into the common agricultural policy European agricultural guidance guarantee fund in the fiscal year 1981–82 according to recent figures and estimates.
§ Mr. Peter WalkerWe contribute to the Community budget as a whole and not to the common agricultural policy in isolation. Our unadjusted gross budget contribution is expected to be about 22 per cent. in 1981–82. Using the current exchange rate, CAP expenditure is forecast to be around £7,200 million—two-thirds of the total budget—and our share of these payments about 11 per cent.
