§ Mr. Proctorasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement about the number of homes sold by new town development corporations since May 1979 to the most recent date available.
§ Mr. StanleySince May 1979 until the end of September 1981, new town corporations sold 6,646 dwellings and firm negotiations are in hand for the sale of a further 4,783. Together these figures, which include sales of some formerly vacant dwellings, represent 14 per cent. of the tenancies at June 1979. The figures for individual towns are as follows:
