§ Mrs. ChalkerBecause of the effects of industrial action, the latest available information relates to February 1981. There were then 3,100 unemployed claimants in the area covered by the Wolverhampton unemployment benefit office who had exhausted their entitlement to unemployment benefit; this was 21.1 per cent. of the total number of unemployed claimants in that area. The comparable figures for the West Midlands were 40,100 and 21–5 per cent.
