§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeIn 1981–82 about 60 miles of motorway in England, or about 5 per cent. of the network, have been under major repair. This work is nearly finished. The motorway network in Scotland is the responsibility of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland but I understand that no major repairs are being carried out this year.
