§ 33. Mr. Roy Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he has had any recent discussions with the chairman of the British Steel Corporation concerning possible job losses in the corporation.
§ Mr. Norman LamontAs my right hon. Friend said in the House on 9 November, the corporation is discussing further reductions in manpower involving about 15,000 job losses throughout the corporation. This is being pursued through local negotiations at each plant.
