§ Mr. StanleyI refer the hon. Member to the answers which I gave to his questions on 17 June 1980 and 27 July 1981 when I said that to publish this information town by town might prejudice the negotiating position of the development corporations and the Commission for the New Towns.—[Vol. 986, c.497; Vol. 9, c. 351.] Between 1 April 1979 and 30 September 1981 £212 million had been realised from the sale of industrial and commercial assets in the English new towns.
§ Mr. Newensasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the new towns and indicate in each case the total value of industrial and commercial assets formerly owned by the New Towns Commission or development corporations which have now been sold to owner-occupiers.
