HC Deb 03 December 1981 vol 14 c210W
Mr. Alec Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the average cost of an appeal (a) to the supplementary benefit appeal tribunals and (b) to a national insurance local tribunal.

Mrs. Chalker

It is not possible to give accurate costings for these appeals because many of the staff involved have other duties, but the approximate average costs of appeals heard are £88 to the supplementary benefit appeal tribunals and £65 to the national insurance local tribunals.
