§ Mr. Giles ShawWithin the framework of the Government's overall economic objectives, the resources to be devoted to water services in the years ahead will be determined by need, based on a realistic assessment of water authority plans. We are fully aware of the importance of maintaining the present infrastructure at a satisfactory level.
