§ Mr. RaisonMy right hon. Friend is satisfied that the Commission continues to have an important role to play. The Home Affairs Committee's report on the operation and effectiveness of the commission is expected to be published shortly, and my right hon. Friend will study its findings and recommendations. In addition, reviews of the commission on the basis of the procedures set out in the Civil Service Department guide will be conducted from time to time.
