Reliable monthly figures of company liquidations for the second and third quarters of 1981 are not available owing to the industrial action in the Civil Service. The monthly average for this period was 606 and the figure for October was 960. The corresponding figures on a seasonally adjusted basis are about 650 and 725.
No industrial breakdown is available on a monthly basis; a breakdown for the second and third quarters together will be published in January.
