§ Mr. Iain Millsasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will take steps to make grants available to law students between finishing their university careers and their final law examinations.
§ Dr. BoysonMy right hon. and learned Friend does not intend in present economic circumstances to introduce legislation to extend mandatory awards to the one-year vocational course leading to the final law examinations; local education suthorities may, however, make awards at their discretion in respect of this course.
