§ Mr. NottAlthough net capital expenditure—as defined for national accounts classification purposes—is estimated at only £105 million (details are given in Class I Supply Estimates 1981–82, HC190–1), the defence budget for 1981–82 provides a further £5,241 million for equipment procurement and £268 million for new works services.
