§ 30. Mr. Needhamasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make an estimate of the number of young people likely to be placed in employment by the end of 1981.
§ Mr. Peter MorrisonIt is not the Government's practice to forecast future employment or unemployment figures. However, it is expected in the school year 1980–81 around 715,000 young people will leave school for work and I would expect most of these to be in employment by the end of 1981.
