§ Mr. Cryerasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list in the Official Report the differences in the rights between adoptive and natural mothers; and if he will introduce legislation to eradicate such differences.
§ Sir George YoungThe Children Act 1975 provides that an adopted child is fully recognised in law as the legitimate child of the adopters. I am not aware of any differences between the rights of adoptive and natural mothers in otherwise identical circumstances.
