§ Mr. MayhewThe Criminal Law Revision Committee, which is carrying out a comprehensive review of the law on sexual offences in consultation with the Policy Advisory Committee on Sexual Offences, has just embarked on a study of the law on prostitution, which will include the problem of "kerb-crawling" discussed in paragraphs 96 to 100 of the working party's report. My right hon. Friend will wish to await the outcome of that review before reaching conclusions on the need for legislation in this field. It is too early to say when the review is likely to be completed.
