§ Mr. Waddington[pursuant to his reply, 14 April 1981, c. 114]: The operation of the Wages Councils Act 1979 is kept under constant review. I am taking a number of steps to streamline the system within the existing legislation, but there is, at present, no intention to amend the Act.
