§ Mr. Marlowasked the Lord Privy Seal whether he will take action through the United Nations with a view to removing Israeli settlements from the West Bank of the Jordan.
§ Mr. HurdWe have consistently made clear at the United Nations our strong opposition to the settlements process in the occupied territories, including the West Bank. We voted for Security Council resolution 465 of 1 March 1980 which called on Israel to halt the expansion of the settlements and dismantle existing settlements.
