§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Prime Minister what is the estimated cost of her forthcoming visit to India; who will accompany her; what is the object of the visit; and what are the places to be visited.
§ The Prime MinisterI shall be visiting India from 15 to 19 April at the invitation of the Prime Minister of India. I expect to have wide-ranging discussions, and hope to agree on ways of expanding and strengthening friendly relations between the United Kingdom and India. I shall visit Delhi and Bombay. I shall be accompanied by a party of 22 including officials and support staff. My husband and daughter will also be travelling with me. It is too early to give a figure for the cost of the visit to India.
