§ Mrs. ChalkerUnder the overlapping benefit provisions, a person on a training course who receives a training allowance from the Manpower Services Commission cannot receive unemployment benefit in addition. If a training allowance is not payable out of public funds, the person's entitlement to unemployment benefit will depend on whether he can satisfy the independent adjudicating authorities that he would be prepared to give up his course if suitable employment became available to him.
