§ Mr. Hardyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services why he has offered to pharmacist proprietors a smaller percentage salary increase for 1980 than has been awarded to pharmacist managers.
§ Dr. VaughanIncreases in salary awarded by proprietors to their managers are not subject to negotiation with the Department. Notional salary for the proprietors themselves is a matter for which the Department has responsibility and we have had to say that in the present economic climate we were unable to offer more than the 14 per cent. going rate for the year.
