§ Mr. John Fraserasked the Secretary of State for Trade what has been his response to the proposal by the EEC Commission to permit the use of strontium salts in cosmetics.
§ Mrs. Sally OppenheimI assume that the hon. Member has in mind the provision in the draft directive on amending, for the third time, the Council directive on cosmetic products that would expressly allow strontium salts and lakes of a limited number of colouring agents in cosmetic products. This provision will have our support in discussions on the directive in the Council.
