HL Deb 13 April 1981 vol 419 c858WA
Baroness Masham of Ilton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they can ensure that there will be sufficient staff to maintain a safe level of care on the wards of the Ida Darwin Hospital, Cambridge, in the future.

Lord Cullen of Ashbourne

The provision of services at the Ida Darwin Hospital, Cambridge is a matter for the Cambridgeshire Area Health Authority (Teaching).

I am assured, however, that the standard of care provided at the hospital will not be allowed to fall below a safe level.
