§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithThe quantity of wheat imported into the United Kingdom from Canada in 1980 is estimated to have been 1,499,000 tonnes, representing 16.0 per cent. of total wheat consumption in this country. The equivalent figures for 1970 were 1,534,000 tonnes and 17.2 per cent. respectively.
