§ Mr. WaddingtonNo. The Health and Safety Commission considers that the provisions of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, supplemented by the Health and Safety (Genetic Manipulation) Regulations 1978 and the proposed Health and Safety (Dangerous Pathogens) Regulations, are adequate to deal with microbiological hazards at the workplace. I therefore do not believe that legislative controls or threshold limit values would be appropriate.
