§ Mr. Tilleyasked the Lord Privy Seal how many people are (a) in Crown service, in each of the Dependent Territories and in which categories of employment and (b) in paid or unpaid service—not falling within paragraph (a) above—as a member of any body established by law, in each of the dependent territories, members of which are appointed by or on behalf of the Crown.

I have had to consult certain of the Dependent Territories and will write to the hon. Gentleman as soon as I have the details.
Prosecutions and, although offences were at one time reportable to him, they have not been so since 1 January 1979. This is reflected by a big drop in the number of prosecutions conducted by the Director in that year, the last for which any figures are available. I am unable to give figures for proceedings conducted by other prosecutors; those for the Director for the years 1976 to 1979 are given in the table below:—
