§ Miss Maynardasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science, in view of the failure of the Pesticides Advisory Committee to assess and control pesticides in the case of 2,4,5-T, if he will either abolish or restructure the committee.
§ Mr. MacfarlaneThe Government continue to have confidence in the soundness of the committee's advice, and there are no plans for abolishing it. As for possible restructuring, the recommendations made in the seventh report of the Royal Commission on environmental pollution for extending the committee's role are being considered.
