§ Mr. Peter WalkerThe Common Agricultural Policy provides for a free market in eggs and poultry within the Community and for sluicegate prices and levies on third country imports. The Treaty of Rome prohibits unfair trade practices and the Commission has responsibility to ensure that State aids do not distort competition.
