§ Mr. Thomas Coxasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he proposes to announce the date and the rate of payment of the 1980 Christmas bonus.
§ Mr. PrenticeAs my right hon. and learned Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced in his Budget Statement on 26 March, this year's Christmas bonus will be £10.—[Vol. 981, c. 1458.] It will be paid to people who satisfy the relevant conditions in week beginning 1 December, as provided by the Pensioners' Lump Sum Payments Order, SI 1980 No. 1169, which was approved by this House on 28 July.
