HC Deb 28 October 1980 vol 991 c228W
Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received concerning the inadequacy of playing field space at St. John's first school Woking, if he has now received the report of the inquiry conducted by the local government Commissioner into the background to this, and if he will make a statement.

Dr. Boyson

Provision of adequate playing fields for St. John's school is a matter for the Surrey local education authority, which is still considering how to fulfil its statutory duties in this respect. My right hon. and learned Friend has received a number of representations on behalf of parents of pupils at the school. I understand that the Commissioner for Local Administration has yet to report on the results of her inquiries.
