Dr. A. V. Stokes who is a computer scientist and chairman of the Disabled Drivers' Motor Club. He has experience of work among, and of the needs of, chronically sick and disabled people and is himself disabled.

The Social Security Act 1980 permits me to make one further appointment to the committee, but it is my intention to leave a vacancy for the time being.
