HC Deb 28 October 1980 vol 991 cc272-3W
Dr. Edmund Marshall

asked the Minister of Transport why the northbound carriageway of the Thorne bypass section of the M18 motorway has recently been reduced from three lanes to two.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

The northbound carriageway of the M18 motorway near Thorne has been reduced from three lanes to two lanes because deterioration of the running surface has begun to take place. Traffic is using the remaining two lanes and no delays are occurring.
