HC Deb 28 October 1980 vol 991 cc254-5W
21. Mr. McQuarrie

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what further progress is being made in the proposed new defence jobs which are to be created in Scotland arising, out of the decision to set up certain sections of his Department in the West of Scotland; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Hayhoe

I have nothing to add at present to the reply I gave to the hon. Member for Glasgow, Queens Park (Mr. McElhone) on 1 February. [Vol. 977, c. 797–8.]

I hope to make a further statement shortly on the possibility of using temporary accommodation for a move of MOD work to Glasgow in advance of the main move to the St. Enoch site.
