§ Miss Wrightasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when he expects to be able to make a statement on the implementation of the Warnock report.
§ Dr. Boyson:The Government's response to the report, including their proposals for legislation in England and Wales, was given in the White Paper "Special Needs in Education" (Cmnd. 7996) published in August. As my right hon. and learned Friend told the hon. Member for Caernarvon (Mr. Wigley) on 16 May, because of the varied nature of the recommendations in the report it is not possible to quantify the progress made on implementing them.
