asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) when he expects to make the statement promised by the Minister of State on 25 March at

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the number of those unemployed in Dundee who have exhausted their right to unemployment benefit; what percentage of the unemployment total in Dundee they represent; and what are the corresponding figures and percentages for both Scotland and Great Britain.

The table below gives the information requested at 14 August 1980, the latest date for which figures are available.

Question Time, Official Report, c. 1155, of the conclusions he has drawn from his analysis of returns of benefit fraud and abuse based on new records;

(2) what is the latest figure for social security benefit savings in the current year; and if this amount meets the target of £50 million announced by the Minister of State on 25 March 1980, Official Report, c. 1156.
