§ Mr. Ernie Rossasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the number of persons in receipt of (a) rent rebates, (b) rent allowances and (c) rate rebates in Scotland; and what percentage of those entitled to claim each group represents.
§ Mr. Rifkind:Statistics relating to rent rebates and allowances as at 30 September 1979, the latest period for which information is available, are published in "Scottish Housing Statistics" Number 8, copies of which are available in the Library.
As regards rate rebates, I refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave to the hon. Member for Hamilton (Mr. Robertson) on 30 June 1980 relating to 1978–79, which remains the latest year for which information is available.
