asked the Minister of Transport when he now expects the repairs to the MI motorway between London and Leicester to be completed.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke:

No precise date can be given for the completion of repairs to prolong the life of the Ml. These will continue well into the 1980s. We are taking all reasonable steps to minimise resulting inconvenience to drivers.
