HC Deb 27 October 1980 vol 991 cc25-6W
Mr. Rooker

asked the Minister for the Civil Service if he will make a statement detailing any reduction or abolition in the collection of publication of statistics or reports by his Department since May 1979, indicating if such information is available from any other source; and

times a year to twice a year. Some financial information on local government expenditure and income is not being published since it is available from the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy.

These changes are expected to save the Government some £50,000 in 1980–81. Further savings may well flow the review of Government statistical services.
