HC Deb 27 October 1980 vol 991 cc92-3W
Mr. Lyell

asked the Lord Privy Seal what representations he has received concerning the proposals of the British Broadcasting Corporation that as a result of changes in method of transmission programmes on the overseas service will no longer be heard in most of the United Kingdom.

Mr. Ridley:

Foreign and Commonwealth Office Ministers have received representations from seven hon. Members, six of them on behalf of constituents, and from four members of the public. There were two parliamentary questions to Foreign and Commonwealth Office Ministers, one of which was answered in another place. The BBC has also received representations.
