When they will announce the arrangements for their review of the national insurance position of the self-employed.

My right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Social Services has today publ- ished a document entitled The Self-Employed and National Insurance which gives the background to the present national insurance arrangements for self-employed people and mentions ways in which the arrangements might be reshaped. The discussion document marks the start, and will form the basis, of the review. My right honourable friend has invited individuals and organisations to send him their views and suggestions by 31st March 1981.
