§ Mr. Peter ReesThe possibility of changing the end of the tax year has been examined by officials on a number of occasions, as well as by the Select Committee on Procedure in 1967–68. None of these reviews recommended a change and I am not persuaded that there is a case for reconsidering the question at present.
