§ Mr. RaisonNo. The United Kingdom is a member of CEPT—European Conference of Post and Telecommunications Administrations—which has recommended a common standard for those countries which have introduced two-way low-power personal radio systems at 27 MHz. But this recommendation has no effect on member States, such as the United Kingdom, where citizens band radio at 27 MHz is illegal.
