HC Deb 24 November 1980 vol 994 cc27-8W
Mr. Barry Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if, in view of the difficulties facing the papermaking industry in North-East Wales, he will receive a deputation of workers from Flint and Greenfield, Clwyd; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Michael Roberts

My right hon. Friend is visiting Clwyd today. He is meeting representatives of the local authorities and a range of organisations, including trades unions, to discuss the economic problems of the area. Responsibility for the papermaking industry rests with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Industry.
