HC Deb 24 November 1980 vol 994 c29W
Mr. Barry Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Wales why his Department has delayed the publication of the North-East Wales traffic study; when he proposes publication; what is the current cost of publication; if he will earmark funds on publication; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Michael Roberts

The completion of the report has taken longer than expected due to the complexity of the study. It will be published shortly and the Welsh Office will be consulting Clwyd county council and other interested bodies about its conclusions.

Costs of the study have not yet been finalised but these are estimated to be not more than £150,000. Until the report's conclusions have been examined thoroughly, it is not possible to identify the need for specific improvements or to earmark funds.
