Mr. Craigen

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the toll bridges in Scotland, the current toll charge, the number of employees and the outstanding debt charges.

Mr. Rifkind

The current tolls and the latest available figures showing the debts at 31 March 1979 are set out below. The number of employees at Erskine is 52. The Forth and Tay road bridges are the responsibility of their respective joint boards, and I do not have information about their staff.

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the total number of fatal, serious or slight injuries caused by air weapons in 1979 and in each of the last 10 years in Scotland.

Consistent information on crimes involving the use of firearms is available for 1978 and 1979 only.

The information for 1978 is shown in "Criminal Statistics, Scotland 1978" Cmnd 7676, Chapter 4, Table 4.4

The information for 1979 is set out in the following table.
