asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the future of Tyne Park list D school in East Lothian.

My Department has sought the views of the main interested bodies on the possible withdrawal of approval from Tynepark List D school. Comments from these bodies have been requested by 31 January 1981 and will then be reported to the standing advisory committee on the List D schools. Only when the standing advisory committee have had an opportunity to give their advice on the proposals would my right hon. Friend decide whether the statutory six months notice should be given to the managers of the school that approval had been withdrawn.

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how much has been spent by each Scottish regional council and by the Social Work Services Group on educating boys and girls, respectively, in List D schools during each of the past five years.

Future arrangements for the development of the services provided by the List D schools are at present under consideration by the standing advisory committee on the List D schools.

Consultations with the standing advisory committee on the List D schools and others are taking place about the possible withdrawal of the certificate of approval from certain List D schools.
