§ 30. Mr. Stanbrookasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is his estimate of the total numbers of 351W those dependants of immigrants settled in the United Kingdom before 1 January 1973 who have not yet taken advantage of their implied right of entry for settlement.
§ Mr. RaisonIt is not possible to make a soundly based estimate of this kind. Any estimate which might be made would be subject to such a wide margin of error as to be both unreliable and misleading.
§ 32. Mr. Bidwellasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many Filipino women having children overseas he has decided to deport and how many have been allowed to remain.
§ Mr. RaisonAt the beginning of this month, 278 illegal entrants affected by the Claveria judgment had been identified. Of these, 65 had been removed or departed voluntarily; 93 had been given indefinite or limited leave to remain; 3 had absconded; and 117 cases remained to be decided. Most of the people concerned are Filipino women but an analysis according to sex and nationality is not readily available.
