§ Mr. Hardyasked the Secretary of State for Energy (1) how many collieries have been closed and, for how many, closure decisions have been made during the last 12 months; and, of these, what number still had reserves of coal or will have reserves when closure occurs;
(2) when the National Coal Board informs him of colliery closure decisions, the reasons for these decisions are stated; and if all recent decisions to close collieries have included exhaustion or in-accessibility of reserves as the principal reasons.
