§ Mr. YoungerI have received a small number of representations, particularly from the paper and board industry, to the effect that current gas contract prices are detrimental to the competitiveness of Scottish industry. I recognise the widespread concern on this issue and the Government are giving careful consideration to the representations received. The CBI is undertaking a study of comparative energy prices in the United Kingdom and overseas; I await the results with interest.
